I was hanging out with a couple of friends the other day when we started discussing "relationships". As you know, boy-girl relationship stories are usually very rich topics for discussion any given day! So, here we were, with a couple of beers down our bellies and feeling eager to get loads off our chests when Mike suddenly announced, "Anita cheated on me last week..am still so confused as to what to do". Dead silence rent the air and I was the first to try to break the ice. Trying not to make it a big deal as possible, I asked him how he could be so sure he meant what he said, but his countenance did all the talking. I was wiser not to push it.
A little background on Mike and Anita: they were the perfect couple. They seemed sooooo happy, it was impossible to fathom how she would even conceive such an idea! But like I said earlier, relationships form such a rich topic for discussion because of its vicissitudes and absence of hard and fast rules. They were not married, yet, but when we probed further, we found out she had been seeing this local music celeb for quite a while and could not give a solid reason for her attraction to him... the story goes on and on, as usual. Tell me what you think. Any experiences?
